No idea why though.įor us, the problem generally goes away on closing down Outlook and re-opening it again. It seems to me that there is possibly a problem with Outlook looking in its AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook folder as this contains the OST and the RoamCache files used for autocomplete. We don't use the MS accounts, so none are logged in. I also have a mixture of installs either using the code from MS account or installed directly from the account. We use IMAP with a mail server that is not Exchange. The problem in all cases is the email they create and send does not appear in "Sent Items" although it is sent. The other symptom I have had reported is having to do a send/receive as messages are "stuck" in the outbox. If they start typing into the "To" field and no suggestions come, close Outlook and try again. The key symptom I am telling users to look out for is autocomplete.
